caller ID
« on: September 30, 2017, 08:37:59 pm »

Ever miss a phone call and wonder who it was.   Well  I came across this while browsing. Type in a landline phone number and it shows the name, address etc.   It will also work with  mobile numbers but they must be listed in the white pages.

Everyday I find one more name to add to the list of people who piss me off.

That's another invasion of privacy then though it won't bother me as cut the landline years ago as got jack of the endless junk calls from overseas call centres you can't understand, pricks must think you got nothing to do all day except answer their calls >:(

Reverse was, the old grey pages.
Grey pages ,totally illegal could find anything even if you wernt listed , officially.

The premium sub allowed you carte blanch on tracing any number,  as popularity grew so did attention from the red tape brigade and it was closed down. Now we have reverse which is hit and miss but still handy for some things but the info is not current.
