Suzuki 1973 TS/TC100 tank
« on: August 08, 2017, 04:01:33 pm »
Does anyone have a good fuel tank for a 1973 Suzuki TS/TC100? It's the one with the side stripes and "TS" or "TC" logo at the back

The 73 tank has recesses and lugs in the sides to hold the tank badges in place.

I’ve got a couple but they need some panel work and I have a fairly good 74 tank but it won’t take the badges

Thanks

Brent

From memory they are a bit smaller than the 125  and 185 tanks, right? Most of the TS tanks I find have a few small dings or the rear has rust pinholes . I will keep an eye open for a decent one but you could be better off pulling the dents out of what you have Brent.

In those days each Suzuki model had a different tank and often changed each year.

The 73 is a one year only tank as from 74 to about 77 they deleted the dimples and badge mounts and went to just stickers.

I have the tank off that 74 you stored for me. It's not bad condition wise but doesn't have the badge mounts

That would be great Tim,

I don't know the colours for the 73 tanks but they have the side stripes and the letters "TS" or "TC" across the back just in front of the seat.
They also have badges on the sides rather than just stickers

Hold the fort have just located a yellow as in the brochure above TS100 tank . Good points has both badges the TS print thingo above the seat line  and a cap  but    has some dents ( One side dint and some testicle indentations along the top...)  appears not to have rust holes though ,repaired lots worse. Sorry I've taken so long to reply Tim.

Is there any chance of a photo of the tank?

I have two but both need a fair bit of work. If I can find something better than what I've got I'll be very happy

Thanks

Brent
