Husky cr250 Mikuni 36mm jetting specs?
« on: July 29, 2017, 05:37:33 pm »
Just setting up a new 36mm mikuni on a 1975 cr250 (formerly Bing runner) and was wondering if anyone had a rough guide to start with jets.

Std 36mm
310 main
Q5 needle jet
6FJ6 needle
35 pilot
2.5 slide
Started and ran lean

Was recommended (and currently running)
420 main
R2 needle jet
6DH3 needle (middle clip)
40 pilot
Runs pretty rich with this setup.

Any recommendations? Cheers DJ

Try the original needle with everything else the same, I was supplied a jet kit for my CZ when I first fitted the reed valve & found it really rich through the middle, changing clip position didn't make much difference but refitting the 6FJ6 needle cleaned things up
Easy to do as a back to back test
