Its not mine

I was riding past the other day and spied a flash of purple.
Popped in and seen him and its a Monty Rapita 250 74 model and its damn nice unstuffed around un restored condition.  From my understanding oz scored about 4 of them to the country so its raRe atleast here.He isnt a 2t guy and could be interested in swapping it for folding fun tickets. I love it but i dont speak spanish. Will post a pic tonight when i can host it or may just stick it on facebook for anyone interested . PM me here or on FB if your serious and i will go knock on his door with your contact details.
Cheers

great bike ,  i have had mine for 22 years -the Rapita at only 110 kg dry is a very good handling fun bike with a claimed top speed of 150kph. rarer than gravity defying big tits , the southwest montesa web site claims only 600 were made, from 1976 to 1979, i know now of 3.  motocicleta fabulosa , hope it goes to a good home

The three amigos. Bultaco Metralla , most common. Then the Montesa Rapita, much less made and lastly Ossa Wildfire , even less. Think the Montesa even had auto oil injection.
Bultaco Metralla, Matador MK 5, Montadero mk2, El Bandido model 18,plus lots of bits and two Honda XR's 250,350.

The Rapida and King Scorpion from mid 70's are very similar. The engine is almost identical.
Yes the King Scorpion had oil injection from 72/73 and all Rapida 250s had oil injection
