yes, XT's are 28mm keyhole duct design, TT's are 30mm oval duct;i do have the XT OEM carby on my bike (XT250) rejetted it to match free flow exhaust, but i feel a (slight) larger carb should give more energy @middle\higher rpm.. that's why want to try the TT carb..

tnx guys for your help; yes i can buy on of these off the shelf mikuni VM.. they are cheap priced, but of course comes wrong jetted, (BTW it's a 2stroke intended carburetor)... there are also some people republic's manifactured carbs on ebay that can work (kehin copy, they sold them as direct fit on XL250 ).. but the real thing will be easier to fit (no problem with my OEM (and new) head boot and the airbox duct...just plug and play.. also looks like this swap it's alredy be done and works..

next rainy day will try to mount a larger main jet (now it's 180, will try a 190, stock was 165) on the XT carb..
