I've got my leave approved, and entered on line.
(Not so bad. Need all the usual stuff. Inc Doctors details, etc, etc, etc.)

Always a great weekend.
Husqvarna test rides this year apparently.

Whilst outlining my plans for my upcoming holidays. My girlfriend reminded me tonight of her first visit to CD a few years ago. (When she was "new")

I was talking to one of the trade vendors and he casually asked me what bikes I had.

As we walked away, she commented "I can't believe he asked you what bikes (plural) you had!" "I realize now, you are kinda normal, in some circles."

She couldn't come last year as she was attending a friends wedding. Lucky for me both the wedding party ride themselves, and forgave me (as far as I can tell) for choosing CD over their wedding.

My accepting girlfriend has since earned her motorcycle licence, and currently practices the basic road skills on a lowered KTM 525 SM I've put together for her. (Another reason for owning a small fleet!)

I'm looking forward to riding at Connondale, looking at old motorbikes, and  talking to people for whom owning a few, or more, bikes is normal.

See some of you there.

Ill be bringing a few, this will be my first CD, Ive been meaning to come to the last few but haven't had any eligible bikes until now. Just need to sort camping gear and booze in the coming weeks. Cant wait to check out everyone else's bikes and all the trade stands etc.

Does anyone know if the headlight and tail light required for the enduro loop need to be functioning?

Last one I went to (CD6) they just needed to be there...

I suspect not, but I'm not sure.
Its possible it sells out as well I believe.

It's a standard online entry, so wants Drs details, (Google the local GPs  details :)) ) next of kin, (and a back up), etc.
Not too bad, then you know you can ride before you leave home.
A great weekend, and worth the effort IMHO.

Well it's been "run and won". Everyone was a winner!

I've now ridden with Chuck Sun. (Kept him in sight for 1/3 of a lap - he was getting held up!)

We were so lucky to get absolutely perfect weather while areas not far away were getting soaked. (And many drove past floods to get there.)

The track was perfect. The "Legends" were approachable and entertaining. The new Huskys are amazing machines. (The 125 is both incredibly easy to ride, and 40hp!)

Great weekend.
