this was in the age today, a "lawyer" commenting on the potential millions he could make if negligence can be proven in the DFO plane crash.

this is whats wrong with our society...""[The case] could generate a very large lawsuit for the entity that is found to be responsible under the law of negligence for the air crash by a court," Shine Lawyers aviation department manager Thomas Janson said.

Negligence is yet to be proved in the case, as investigators continue to work through the plane's wreckage. But if it could be proved, hundreds of bystanders who saw the flight go down might be able to claim for nervous shock, Mr Janson said."

MIGHT be able to claim for nervous shock

Phhaaarrrk

he should move to Allepo, fousands of customers there....unfortunately

When the marshal was fatally injured at the F1 GP at Albert Park a few years ago, apparently there were lawyers asking if anyone was traumatised by seeing it on TV to contact them.

I know there are good lawyers, but how often is a case taken right up until it is just about to go into court and then all of a sudden a deal is done.  Of course the barristers etc still get paid because they were briefed and the court was booked.  Are these professions in it to help you or someone else.
