KTM500 MXC, finally
« on: March 10, 2017, 07:54:19 am »
Ive been eyeing off these bikes for sometime now and finally got the chance to own one, Im really impressed the way the bike turns in and the rear drum feels better that a disk to me. Apprt from a grinding shift from fist to second the gearbox shifts great Id have to say this is one of the best handling dirt bikes Ive even ridden. Any other owners out there? Id love to hear more about them like reliability issues, parts availability etc.

Had one in the day 85 model It was a lot of fun for a 20 year  old on such a beast ;D have a good look at your water pump as they are magnesium and fail easily. There was a 85 MX500 on FB for $3700 nearly bought it but had my heart set on the MXC.
Gotta put some pics up and if your going to sell it let me know  ;)

Pics coming, I haven't even taken pics any of the bike yet. Ive been on 3 rides this week, it starts easy too, has a new Mikuni carb on it which seems to be working great, I don't plan on selling this one, hoping to race it with QVMX this season.
I need to fit some wider pegs and a new gear lever.
Now Im scared to take the water pump cover off to inspect.
