New to the Forum, been around a while
« on: January 17, 2017, 05:59:02 pm »
G'day All

My name is Perry, or Pezz, I live in the Hills District in Sydney.

I have into bikes for many years, owning just about all brands. My main weaknesses are Airhead BMW's owning a few.

I also run the Scrapheap Adventure Ride which over the last 7 years has raised over $500,000 in funds for Down Syndrome NSW.

Appreciate the knowledge and resources in this forum so thought I would join and participate.

Current project is an RV125 Suzuki with a PE175 inserted in the middle. Lost of mods in progress I will start a build thread in the appropriate section too.

Basically with Scrapheap you have to start with a bike for under $1000 and then build away and ride it to the event.

This started with a rough frame . . .

Im not a complete idiot, some parts are missing :)

Welcome to OzVMX Pezz. I've seen discussion about the Scrapheap Adventure Ride on the Advrider forum. Looks like heaps of fun, and something I'd like to attend some day (plus it's for a good cause  :D).

A PE175 in a RV eh? This should be interesting!

The world is full of eccentrics, and we have more than our fair share on this forum!

I love it!

Thanks Tex and Skypig

It certainly helps not to take life and bikes too seriously  ;D

I previously built an XR460/4 for the Scrapheap Ride. So like to be a bit creative

This bike was a blast to ride and quite stable at speed

That bike is seriously cool!
I have a giant soft spot for the 400/4. Great memories of my dad doubling me around on his.

I basically only ride it each year in the Toy Run. (Sunshine Coast, 2016)

(I'm buying all the things I couldn't afford when I was a kid. You should see/hear my record player!)
