***DG Performance 17 fin radial Honda MR175 head***
Front right stud hole is offset to the right
2 locating dowel holes
66mm across the dome.
Correct clearance for right side high pipe.
Plug thread is good, no damage.
This head was never gold anodized so It would most likely be manufactured 75-76.
It is in very good excellent condition with just 3 small marks in the chamber and few very tiny removable nicks on some fins but that’s all. It looks really nice. You wont be disappointed. Bolt it on and use as is or you may like to mass finish or vapor blast it and then gold anodize it. Or maybe sand/bead blast it if you like a more rough/cast sort of look. Either way you don’t have to put a lot of time into it. This is the era correct 17 fin version and it’s physically smaller than the 19 fin versions.
If you want to build a trick modified MR175 then this is the part you need. DG heads for enduro bikes like the MR are quite hard to find and this head I think would be the hardest aftermarket part to find for a MR. Swingarms were made for the 175 but you can easily find CR125 swingarms made by DG, Thor, T&M, PDI, Redline etc which you can also use. I usually see one of these swingarms for sale almost once a month so that is the easy part to find. The DG heads may show up once every 2 years maybe…. So once you have the head, the rest of the aftermarket parts are going to be straight forward to find to build up a trick MR175.
Ok now for the bad news, I am not ready to sell this for cash straight away and would much rather swap it for other aftermarket parts. However if you have been desperately searching for this DG head for like 5 years or something (I know what that feels like) but have nothing to trade then I would consider a cash sale after a few weeks. I really prefer a swap thoug.
