Are 1969 Honda CB750 K/K0 disc front ends Pre 1970 legal?

They should be . Vmx sidecars avoided this conundrum by having classes of pre68  and then pre75. Here a Home build 754 special I am somewhat familiar with... using disc parts from cb750 k series. note the um weight is  well a tad heavy and the single rotor really only tries/fails to slow the machine ......

getting of track a bit, we are using the old single disk on a single disk hub off a xs650 yam with a 21" mudcatcher rim (akront)
for a pre75 sidecarcross Yamaha DT360A
will be interesting to see how it pulls up?
was gunna use twin leading!

l haven't yet found a Pre 70 solo with a  disc but it seems safe enough to go. I'?l be trying  to pull up an XS650 Metisse. I'm concerned about to much brake power and expect to play wth master cylinder size.


Pre 70 disc braked MXer precedent but it sems safe enough to go ahead. I assume the Pre 68 outfit class was arrived at to keep the Yamaha

Tip  use quality braided steel lines,  they do make a noticeable difference.  Cheers Tim754

RE pre68 Yep one reason was the rise of Yammy XS650, Mainly (as I remember) it was to do with converting standard road machine frames to scramble sidecars, as the aftermarket frame builders were virtually non existent to 1968.
 Mick D thank you for your satisfying appraisal of my HBS/Wasp. I think the dinosaur may have one more last run as my pit bike come transport around the complex this year at Broadford on the Saturday (I only work Wed ,Sat and Sun so bugger losing a full weeks pay.... )  Maybe you will see it in the flesh with all it's inglorious crude roughness

Back on topic.... I really only ever have seen with my eyes,( I did not kick kick buy it at the time  )a complete MV Agusta front disk set up from a 1966 model. Definitely not large run production but was available to the public.

They are Campagnolo, operated by cable rather than hydraulic.

Sexy, though.
