Farewell and good riddance 2016 bring on 2017
« on: December 29, 2016, 01:46:44 pm »
Looking forward to 2017  :) 2016 was for me personally an absolute C@#T of a year  >:(

To many lows to think about but on the upside as far as im aware i am still in good health  :D

The obvious low was losing an awesome mate and genuinely beautiful human being Don Jamison DJ Racing RIP my friend .

DJ was an amazing contributor to this forum and was a member right back at the start ( of the old original forum )

I will copy and paste probably his most read thread, that of the Nogouchi build and adventure but everything DJ ever posted on here was well researched , well written and in the case of a debate very objective .

DJ died of heart failure at 52 yrs young, on the surface he was as healthy as anyone of us but inside all was not well . Could DJ have been saved had he had regular check ups ? we will never know, he like most of us avoided doctors like we avoid trips to the opera or Ballet  ::)

So please going into the new year make a point of getting a check up with your GP , were all tough old bastards on the outside and were Motocrossers    no were tougher than Motocrossers were Vintage Motocrossers  8)

So if not for yourselves do it for your loved ones or do it for DJ .

Wishing you all a healthy , happy and successful 2017

Read that thread again today, probably one of my favorites, love those rebuild threads.  Hopefully better times ahead, good luck to all for 2017.

cannot agree with Bill more strongly - you never know what is around the corner - have just come out the other side from a very serious 2 years worth of treatment and the earlier it is picked up the better the chance of survival - so get a check - FOR WHATEVER - you will breathe easier when the Doc says - NO ISSUES!

wasn't a bad year, dodged a melanoma (early trip to the doc) tho that phone call after the first slice up "we need you to come back in as soon as possible" is a call I don't want to hear again....

rode CD, pac games, worked at Harrow packing up after the big ride following riding there for years (about time I gave them a hand)

rode the BBB on the 510 (thanks for the push start Drakey, I hope your hands and knees wernt too badly scraped ;D)

did a bit of riding about the place...

not much work on so got stuck into the new shed and got it all sorted only to have no 1 daughter tell me ive got to pack it all up for the wedding nxt year >:(

Ditto with Bills post, I too have had an awful 2016, far too many very serious dramas to mention, bring on 2017 and hope all forum members have a safe, happy and successful 2017 in whatever you are doing.

it definitely started out a shit year as we lost my wife's sister to cancer, still haven't finished the DT360A Pre75 motocross sidecar, I'm not racing any more but would have liked to lend it out to a young gun that's up and coming, got stiffed with the RM370 donk (yes I'm over it now) but at the end it started coming good
So to you one and all here is to a bloody Good year  for 2017
cheers

2016 can get forkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk  >:(  Bills/Rosso are right 2017  bite the bullet and get a health checkup from your GP  Just do it for your family, not bullet proof anymore , a few more RIDES will do me for 2017 , not to much to ask .
