Anyone live near khancoban, New South Wales
« on: August 28, 2007, 02:15:49 pm »
There is an item on ebay that will almost complete my collection that I'd love to bid on (and win).  Located khancoban, New South Wales.  Anyone live close to there that could help me out.

TIA
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Yeah - apparently in the snowy mountains area.  No Indians there as far as I know.
I've heard the 2 dogs joke, but not the 3 horses.  I think you'll have to put it up.  ;D

HA HA HA HA HA HA - It is probably sad, but that's the funniest thing I have heard in a long time.  Very punchy.  ; :D :D :D

Jebus - I didn't even realise there were any towns down there! The short answer is that "nobody lives anywhere near Khancoban"...  :D

It's not too far from one forum member (distance-wise) but I'll also bet that it's a slow and tedious trip, so I won't dob him in.

Maybe - just maybe - I could go home via Khancoban next time I do a bike bits for beer swap with the un-named forum member. Might be able to sell the idea to the missus as being a scenic journey? You'd want to make sure the seller is willing to hold onto it for a while if you'd be counting on me to pick it up though.

I know!!!  I just looked it up on whereis.   In this case it should have been WTFis.  It literally is in the middle of friggin' nowhere :o.  You would almost need the dog sled and a survival pack to get there by the looks of things.  I'm surprised there is not 6 inches of snow in the picture.  He does say he will post so i might quiz him some more on that side of things.  Do you think I could get it sent to your place Nathan and include it with the other shipment ??

Only a thought at this stage
Cheers  ;)

 :D at Snowy. :)

Tony, yes. The simplest/cheapest way that I can see would be for Snowy to pick it up from triple buggery, and we can exchange it at some stage in the future.
It will probably also be quite a slow trip, which may or may-not suit you?

Snowy you are on for the 2 cases - no trouble at all ;).  I'm not really concerned about getting it in a hurry.  My restoration rate is rather slow.  The slow train is fine.  We can do the usual (for getting to Cairns) pass through 100 people's hands before getting to me.  Sometimes I wish I lived in Sydney, but then I come to my senses  ;D.

So the plan will be : Step 1 Win item. Step 2 - Snowy picks it up (and collects beers with money I send to him).  Step 3 - Snowy and someone else on here meet up and the bike gets to civilisation.  Step 4 - Bike gets from there to Brisbane via the "freaky scheme".  Step 5 - I get it from Brisbane to Cairns myself using the "TM Bill luggage scam".

Sounds like a brilliant plan.  Thanks for your help lads I will bid on with your blessing.

Cheers  ;)

Freaky,

There seems to be a bit of confusion.  At the moment Nathan is busily preparing what's left of a 125H into 1 (or 2) boxes and a bare frame with forks somehow attached (I think).  Then we will do the "Freaky Scheme".  Don't worry dude I will let you know when we are ready for you to give the guy the nod.  To solve some other confusion Hilly is in Melbourne I am in FNQ  You gave me the address details for the pick up in Underwood.  Hilly is apparently much better looking than me, and a far superior rider :P
There is a separate item on ebay that I am bidding on that I will probably do the same way if you are still organising things that way.  Currently in Snowy Mountains.  That's the one we are talking about here.
So chill out and we'll let you know when we are ready  ;D ;D ;D
The way things are going I'm thinking of starting a logistics company  :D :D

Stay tuned for more exciting episodes - same bat time - same bat channel !!!
