« on: October 26, 2016, 06:11:29 pm »
Hello all,

Who is doing the best seat covers for the 81 RM250 (black with yellow writing) ? And possibly seat foam/base as well ? The foam and base are not too bad, but if i can get my hands on ant OEM stuff that would be great.....yeah ino rocking horse....etc etc...

Thanks

John

Vintage Suzuki in the US have good covers, they also have foam but I've found it can be a different shape to their covers!

If you want a quality oem style seat cover for a resto bike get the cover from:
http://www.charmans.co.nz/motorbike-seat-covers.html

I have gone down this path with an Rm500 resto. I bought a cover from vintage Suzuki which looks ok for a chinese/thai cover but the Chamans cover I got from them is an exact replica of the original cover and fits perfect.

I think you will find that Vintage Suzuki covers are actually made by Ceet/Hi-Flite in the USA because Tony Boswell owns those 2 companies as well as his Vintage Suzuki business.

If the Charmans covers are the same as the ones from SMEBIKE from NZ then i would have to disagree with you there. the ones i got from SMEBIKE in NZ did not fit well and had greenish tinted logos (were ment to be PE logos in yellow) The one i got from Vintage Suzuki in USA was much better because the logos are printed in white first and then yellow over top which is how the Suzuki factory actually did them. That way the yellow looks right because yellow straight on black does not work.

Interesting, blue and yellow makes green.
So Suzuki put a white background on first to keep the yellow yellow.

Makes sense, so simple, effective and logical.

Thanks.

Think Charmans is different. Have had a couple of different seat covers off them over the years & they've always fitted well
