I live in Colac Vic, it has rained cats and dogs here last night and today too. Flash flooding has been the order of the day. I hope you haven't incurred much damage where you are.

Cheers, Mark

friggin wet alright. I'm in the Pyrenees and we've had 85mm since Monday night. Lost another fence (2nd in 5 years) thanks to the creek flooding again. The roof has developed a leak in the house but I think I've managed to fix that today. Repairing the gyprock might take a while longer. At least the shed is dry......
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.

I went for my Wednesday afternoon ride as usual, only this time it was in driving rain. Managed to get an hour & a half in until the cold got to much & I had to come home. Stopped for a p one double s but couldn't find my peeny (difficult enough in normal weather), he'd packed up & gone home! Plenty of water running through the gullies & across the trails. The couple of creek crossings became interesting to say the least. It's not as slippery in rain as it is just after rain, doesn't "grease" up. You couldn't see where I'd been (did the same loop 3 times) as the rain washed all the evidence away. Had to switch to safety glasses about half way through as my goggles wouldn't un-fog. Heavy rain & a little bit of speed sure makes your face where it's usually covered by goggles know it's alive. Anyway, had a pretty good ride in the end, beats sitting around looking out the window at the dismal weather, although I reckon it took a good couple of hours to get comfortably warm again.

the best thing about riding in the rain is when your in a hot shower afterwards! I hate riding in the actual rain...one of my pet hates..( I was gunno go with Big K but had forgot an eye appointment I had seen my way clear to make last week).

one of my favourite rides is just after the rain when the creeks are running and the puddles are full. best fun 4th gear 20 foot long puddles, just in front of your mate! 8)
