1974 KX250 carb jetting for a new PFR pipe with alloy can
« on: July 21, 2016, 10:10:40 pm »
Hi all,
just new tonight, cheers for extra quick response Graeme, and wondering if anyone knows the correct jetting for a 1974 KX250 carb jetting for a new PFR pipe with alloy can.
The motor is stock standard, maybe first oversize, and ridden rarely by the past owner occasionally. Just to tick it over as he worked away from home a lot.
I have started VMX racing and live in metro Melb so can't really test it easily.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Cheers KX250A3

no experience but I would think 1 or 2  sizes up on the main jet and drop the needle clip 1 or two slots to add more fuel. test carefully from there

Cheers 80-85 Husky I was thinking the same myself.
Better to be rich than a hole in the piston or worse!!
Guess I'll order and test it in when I can.
