OEM TYRES

Hi All,

Here's a good one....does anyone know what the OEM tyres were on a 1981 RM250 X ? I've been scouring detective google with no luck...lol

probably depends on what market but forget trying to get them now as they would have been long discontinued. if you can find a decent one it will be as hard as my sisters scones and about as useful.

I can also confirm they were rubbish compared to Metzlers even when new.

Even though I suspect this doesn't matter in some circumstances. (Lounge display)

Suzuki would have had bridgestones I rekon about then

see if you can find an adb or trail and track test, they will have it

My one owner RM250X still had the original tyres on it when I got it (completely shot, cracked and rotted of course) which were Bridgestones, cannot remember the model though.

With a Jewlers loop, I can read "Dunlop" on the rear tire of the 465X on the Suzuki Brochure I have.
The brochure only lists the sizes, not brands, in the specs.
3.00-21-4PR, full knobby
5.10-18-4PR, full knobby. For the 250 (and 465)X's
The 125X was speced with a 4.10. Rear.

I love old brochures- the 125 had a dry weight of 88kg - read it and weep 250F owners. (Myself included)
