Gday guys - In search of a Rear wheel hub plate or 'coupling'. It's the cush-drive part that houses the rubber dampers.

Part number is 42008-027.

I believe this fits the following bikes:
 1974 KX250 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN (KX250-A-A3)
 1975 KX250-A REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN (KX250-A-A3)
 1975 KX400 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN
 1976 KX250-A3 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN (KX250-A-A3)
 1976 KX400-A2 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN
 1978 KX250-A4 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN (KX250-A-A3)
 1979 KX250-A5 REAR HUB-BRAKE-CHAIN (KX250-A-A3)

Here is a pic of it... It is item #16.

Partzilla is showing it available - but I'm not so sure. If no one has one I might test a purchase there.

Please let me know what you might have.
Cheers!  :D

Hi Hardo as usual ( and you must have come up against this being a KX man ) the poxy listings are wrong .

Different wheels in 74 model to 75/76 model and 79 model  ::)

I find this happens all the time with KX parts .

What model do you need the part for ?

79 A5 is a solid hub no cush drive . I am going to run 79 Hubs in my 74 and 76 models as they are way lighter ( and nobody here gets emotional about out of era hubs  ;D )

Cheers Bill

I have one (1) cush drive rubber, part number 3 in the diagram. Been "lost" for years but as usual found it the other day while looking for something else. In good nick & I have no use for it now.

Cheers guys.
Yes Bill I have certainly come across that countless times unfortunately....  ::)

I cant really see why anyone would care too much about the rear hub. After all it's only a drum brake. An A5 hub might be the go there.

If anyone happens to have item 16 above though I am still interested!  :)

Cheers..
