club day for the 24th of August is now downgraded to a practise day with working bee,
QLD Classic has now been moved to sunday the 31st August with entries closing last mail friday 22nd August.

i get back from the snow on the satd'y night before, so i gotta make sure i'm ready now. so much to do, so little time...

do I need to join up beforehand or can I just front up and sort it out on the day?

you could just front up for the practice on the 24th no probs but the QLD Classic on the 31st is an open M.A. meeting so will require an open liscense and supp regs posted in in advance. if you require a day liscense for the Classic, you'll need to get it sorted either through BMCC or MAQ by Aug 13th i believe with the sup regs not due till last mail friday 22nd Aug.

But don't even THINK about sorting via e-mail; you've got a better chance of Captaining the Aussie Cricket Team than having your e-mail answered.

I heard that nudgee has had a interesting new extension to the end of the main straight,apparently newy,dougy and paul bassit and others have been hard at it, they are just waiting for approval and another extension has been bulldozed out as well, that should add a bit interest for the classic titles 08

saturday the 24th will be practise till 1pm Doc, then it becomes a working bee to get everything up to shape for the following weekends Classic.
i'll miss the practise/working bee {off to the snooow!!!!! but someones got to do it} but am in for the classic.
i was talking with Doug at the last meeting about the extension, they've laid a solid base of clay and will then top it over with that imfamous paper mulch. give it a year or so till the grass starts to come up through it and it'll be choice.
me for one am real glad they changed the date as the origional date had me tied up with kiddie commitments, meaning i would have missed it.

saturday then eh Vandy..hmmm..might conflict with a few things but I'll see if I can shuffle things to be available. I've just dropped by the track and had a look. Yup she's extended alrighty, a big banked sweeper and an extra jump and a turn or 2 added..looks good and can only make things better. Whilst there I also took a looky at the dirt track and my goodness, aren't they pumping some time and money into that area! Not only upgrading existing track and facilities but now there's a second dirt track ?? (maybe a motard track) so Mick Doohan Motorcycle Complex looks set to become bigger and better in the not too distant future

SUNDAY. the 24th
woops a daisy....

and Doc, there is a motard track set to go in up the front as you come in the gate. at the start of the year, i was out at the willowbank kart track watching {the MC sportsmans club i think} bikes {not motards} race around. basically, if i threw a set of road wheels on my little MX125, i could've raced it there. keep the eyes on this one at nudgee as that opportunity may also be avaialble in the future.

so practice is on sunday then? would make life a lot easier to comply with if it is sunday vintage motards ya say..hmmm..not so far removed from vintage dirt track really is it. Could be worth a thought or 3
