Getting to the Beaufort Vinduro:

The start/finish/camping/pits/etc is located at the Raglan Recreation Reserve in Raglan.

From Beaufort, take Main Lead Road which heads north (turn at the Caltex service station). Keep going past Amphitheatre Road which turns off to the right, and the reserve is on the right side shortly afterwards.

If travelling from Elmhurst take the Raglan-Elmhurst Road south until you reach Raglan. In this case the reserve will be on the left as you are leaving Raglan.

If travelling from Ararat on the Western Highway you can turn left at the Eurambeen-Raglan Road, then right at Grant Lane, and right again onto Main Lead Road. The reserve will be on your left a short distance thereafter.

Travellers from Ararat can also continue to Beaufort and take Main Lead Road as described above.

The VicRoads Country Directory (8th edition) reference is Map 57, G7.

Thanks VERi for another great Vinduro at Beaufort  :)

The course ran over 4 stages totalling 125km by my odometer and (if l remember correctly) 79 entries.

The weather was perfect on Saturday for sorting out the camp and bikes.

The sky's opened up with some significant wind and rain around 1.00 am but it blew and rained itself out by 6.30.

Despite all the rain overnight and the ride being fairly wet and slippery there were places around the course where it was dusty.

Great 360* views of the surrounding countryside from this lookout.

Bacon and eggs for breakfast (thanks Rachel), an entertaining time at the pub Saturday night and a great ride made for another memorable weekend.

Hey, I resemble that comment!

From an organisers point of view, I was really pleased with how this year's Beaufort Vinduro went off. Best one so far I reckon. Great rider turn out, and the weather was mostly not too cruel. There seemed to be an even larger amount of people than normal making a point of coming up afterwards and thanking us for the event, including several first-timers.

The only down side was that a couple of riders were injured on Sunday in two separate incidents. Speedy recovery lads!

Hopefully we'll see a few more photos and videos emerge. Thanks kdx Geoff & cr750 for posting so far.

Yes, thanks to all involved.

I must have run the "extra special" event, as I had a GPS tracker with me and it said I did 144.5 Km from turning it on at our 'lakeview' campsite and walking up to the parc ferme then walking back when it was all over and turning it off. Also said it took 6:45 as well. No wonder I'm buggered.

Relax Serge, easy mate  8)

I'm sure you can just pop down to your local Suzuki dealer and buy a nice new rear guard after falling off your bike (if you haven't got a couple in the shed)...just like you can side covers  ;D ;D
And a speedo cable, get one of them too  ::)

great event, loved it...I need bark busters and carry spare levers for next one, my little DT175 did an awesome job, I am very stiff and sore today though.
I couldn't find the person that loaned me a lever to give it back, come and see me at next event I get to and I will return it or pay for it, cheers

I've had broken bones from motorcycling crashes. I feel for those injured. My best wishes to those involved for speedy recoveries.

I must find a way to extend the battery life of my GoPro. Sections 2, 3 and 4 had some magic faster trails that pressed my buttons. I would have posted some of my passing maneuvers if I had more footage. Lucky for some, my battery was flat before the overtaking fun began. 8-)

Thanks again to VERi for another challenging and well run event!

Next is Yass, then Canowindra, followed by ...... HARROW.

The club is delighted with the success of yesterday’s Beaufort Vinduro. Eighty riders enjoyed a challenging and unique vinduro event that was thankfully spared from potentially dire weather! The heavy rain on Saturday night was just enough to ‘settle the dust’.

Congratulations to all riders who completed all, most, or some of the 120 km course. It really had a bit of everything, and we are grateful for the many messages of thanks and appreciation we have received. If you haven’t been to the Beaufort Vinduro yet, make sure you get there in 2017!

Obviously, an event of this scale requires a lot of work to prepare and execute. VERi would like to thank the following organisations and individuals (in no particular order):  The Dja Dja Warrung traditional land owners, Peter “Drakie” Drakeford, the Aked family, Paul Kalika, Rachelle Wilkinson, George & Barb Goddard, Hancock Victorian Plantations (HVP), Colin Harper, Kurt, Rob Warner, Don, Mick Stevens, Scott Schalders, Juzzy, Kristin C, Vinduro Penrite Team, Peter, DELWP, Bunnings, Discount Motorcycle Wreckers, John Searby, Beaufort Newsagency, Raglan CFA Brigade, Les Barfoot, The Pyrenees Advocate, The Ararat Advertiser, Max Heizer, John “Tex” O’Brien, Geoff Morris Concepts, Dale Tiley, Richard, the Allen brothers, Karen, Andrea, Rose, the OzVMX forum, the Raglan Reserve Committee, all the motorbike businesses who displayed our promo poster, and everyone else we may have forgotten.

Our best wishes go to the two riders who were injured on Sunday. We hope you both have a speedy recovery.
