PE175 rear rim
« on: March 30, 2016, 07:31:48 pm »
Looking for a tidy rear rim for a 1980/81 PE175, possibly the same as 250/400.  Plenty in the states but no one wants to post to Australia.

The 250 and 400 is 215x18 where a pe175 80 81 is 185x18 if it was me I'd take it to some one who builds wheels they can sort it out then whether you need new spokes and nipples etc

Was just hoping to find a tidy one and just put it on, no wheel builders around here that I know of, really want a rim to match the rest of the bike aswell.

I found the complete wheel....Post to Dalby will be expensive. I'd reckon around $80 to post at least

Won't be that much to post if you don't put it in a box, just wrap it in something so the P.O can't cube it. They can only calculate it by the weight then. I'd be surprised if it went more than $40 (probably be less). I just sent a complete front end to Brisbane, weighed 21kg, it cost $87.00 to post.

Thanks for that tip Bigk. I will remember that one for sure!
I am curious with how you got 21kg posted. Isn't 20kg the limit for AP?

Oh something good happens for once. Now if only they could stop jacking up the shipping costs out of USA and Canada. Its just getting way out of control >:(

Turns out the rim I have is badly corroded so pecrazy still needs a wheel
