This event is one month out, how are preparations going.   So even if your ride is a Honda Dax, just as long as your ride is pre 92, bring it along.

If you have a show pony,  bring it along,  it's great to see these restorations in the flesh,  so load up the trailer.

Cheers Pete

Maintenance time for the PE's, some new fork seals and oil to make the ride smooth at Wedderburn.

Quick re spray to one of the fork tubes that got scratched at Tallarook last year and ready to go.

Don't worry about fitness Ekka you can kick back after it and have a few cold cans, camp the night and watch or enter the 8 hour the next day with the crazy modern blokes.

Anyone interested in riding the pony and doesn't have a partner, just show up and a partner could be arranged.

The vintage track should be around a 20min a loop, I'm heading up there this weekend so i should have a report on the track.

The modern 8 hour loop is apparently around 50mins on a modern bike.

Cheers Pete

a good condition pre 80 should give most of the moderns a scare up there.

Well to see an XR 250 clean up last year was impressive,  clean consistent riding pays off.  The small bikes go well in the tight single track stuff,  but Wedderburn has some nice open areas with long straights where your flat out in top gear and big open sweeping corners.  Something for everyone.

Clean, consistent, and damn fast!

I've been beaten like that more than once in my time, but not by someone on a bloody XR250... :)

The big XR will be a lot of fun if you can keep it flowing in the tight stuff. Can't imagine a better bike for the "aircraft landing strip" parts on the back of the course.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Just pulled the 465 out of the shed and it started first kick (as expected from a yamaha    ;D).
I'm ready and hanging out for next weekend.

What a great day at Wedderburn for the modern 3 hour yesterday, the track was a bit slick, but as the day went on It just got better. Can't wait to see some old bikes tearing it up this Saturday.

The big start.

The airplane runway, to clear the plug, big bore heaven.

Picking up KTM parts.

The clean up and ready for next Saturday

Anyone from Ballarat or Bendigo way going to this that could pick up some parts from Ekka for me.

Hoping my daughter can but failing that I would like a back up
