17.5 inch shocks is the correct length for a cr250rz but i think the 125's were a little shorter

Remember that the eyelet to eyelet length of 17.5" includes a longer (+.75) lower eyelet.  I found that out when I ordered my first KLP swingarm and had my Ohlins shocks for it built with the standard lower eyelets.

Tahitian, Are you saying that the ohlins pictured would not be suitable cause the lower eyelette is too close to the spring retainer?

There was some interference.  I could have sent them back and had longer eyelets installed and the shaft travel adjusted, but I had some stepped spring retainers machined instead and that work.  :)
