What do you know, the RM and TM projects near completion. Finally got in some garage time today, first time on these bikes for a month or two. The TM has had the engine fully rebuilt and she's almost complete, just waiting on a Circle F pipe. Spent today fitting a carby overhaul kit, oiling up the K+N filter, and fitting the lot, as well as slipping a few more parts on the RM.

The RM was a bit of a job. Although it's been nicely resto'd at some stage, the shocks were shot and the engine needed a full rebuild. I've got all that done and Walter at YSS has come through with a brilliant looking pair of shocks for it. So, engine is back in and some new bits here and there. Just need a few spacers and buffer for the swingarm, and we can fit the shocks and put it all back together.

The big question - can I get all this stuff done in time to get them run in and set up for the Wagga DT Nats???

That's the aim, anyway... Fingers crossed!

Even if you get one going to hit the track with at the Nats would be good-that and the big banger CR500 should keep you busy. Roughly, what did Circle-F charge for the chamber?-unless it is classified info re: the  financial controller!.Bill.

If you deal with Circle-F direct most of their pipes are $150US and $60US for airmail shipping. It took 10 days for my MX250A pipe to get here BUT you have to chase him up about dispatch as it took 3 months for him to send it  , so if you buy from him them make sure you get a confirmation of order and dispatch emails and it all should be sweet (he takes Paypal)

Thanks for that c/god-pretty reasonable really. How is the quality. I've had some serious trouble fitting DG pipes the last couple of times-major poor fitting issues .

I'm real happy with the CircleF pipe and the YSS Shocks. Both are superb quality and look great. The shocks fit perfect, not sure about the pipe yet as it isn't fitted. But I've seen one on a TM and looks like it should be fine. I'll report back more once it's on. I'm just hunting around for a hi-temp clear coating as I want to keep the pipe as is in appearance.

And yep, Kevin's pipes take a while to get here (about 3 months for me after ordering) but definitely worth the wait.

Now, must get on to Geoff at GMC and see if he does a pipe for the RM125M...

Here's your high temp coating for your circle crap pipe..........vegatable oil! Just coat in CRC until the start up day, then about 3 applications of the veggie oil while you run it in.Should bake on and go to a golden colour.

OK, I'll bite. Circle crap? Are you saying they aren't any good? I've read a lot of good press about them, and it is exactly the style I wanted.

I'm more than happy with my Circle F pipe. It's well made, fits the bike perfectly and was only $200us landed at my front door. I use lanolin spay (Lanox) on it to keep it looking nice and sharp.

They look like TSR pipes which means they work OK but the AHRAMA rules  only allow a 2 stage diffuser or maxiumum 4 stages in the chamber(something like that), which we are governed by no such rules.A straight header pipes went out with kingswood's,platforms and flares,the reason they might rave about them is they don't know any better. They could make a much better design for OS customers but don't.
Wasn't joking about the oil though............

Interesting... mind you, TM125s went out with platform shoes and Kingswoods too. I must say that all I want is similar or better performance to stock, and better looks. If it delivers that I'll be happy. Of course given I hope to take it to the DT Nats, more top end would be nice too, but hey, I have a feeling the end result will be the same regardless of the type of pipe I have on there. 

Vegetable oil eh? OK, might try that. Firko, you mean you left yours in bare metal and just use this Lanox on that?

It's pretty easy to go better than standard on most old 2T engines.TM's and dirt track should be really mentioned in the same sentence.The TM has 2 major downfalls . Lack of transfer port area and ignition.Fix those and you have a chance of staying with the H*nda's.Their pipes look a little to thin to let them rev .

Hmmmm... well, I doubt I'll be making any changes to it. I'll just have to hold it on longer than the other guys, won't I? 

Anyway, right now, who cares. After what, 2.5 years? It lives! Finally got it all together this afternoon, and she fired right up. Don't you love it when that happens? Mind you it should have, there's nothing left of the bike I bought. I think I replaced everything...

Neat Graeme neat! The TM125 we had truly was one bike I have always would have kept. Still it was one of my sons .he paid for it he sold it, I just kept it going.... and that is the reason I so liked it , I did stuff all except routine check overs. Simple easy and fun! Was super competitive in the Juniors, and held its own in 125cc class. Love to get another and thats coming from a bloke thats had a fair few machine pass through his fingers. My rating in top three of all round ridable fun VMXers No1 Cheers Tim
