looks like he will starting in second about three minutes off first tonight. (stage 8 of 13)

He started well this year and had one bad stage but has almost clawed all that back now.

Last year he did so well for his first Dakar especially in the last few stages, but just didnt really get much coverage on the news.

Also looks like he is the only Aussie in the race this year, hope he gets there first.

Yep, he is.

I'm pleased to see that the Frenchman on a 125cc 2T is still in the race too!

That's how you do 'crazy Frenchman' in a good way. I saw some video of it in some shitty whooped out muddy(?) ruts, and realised that he had the best possible bike for that bit of track...
:)
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

It might be pretty good in that soft sand in the dunes too compared to the much heavier bikes, especially amongst the slower paced competitors.

Toby has blasted into a 27 minute lead on stage 9 and with Goncalves holing his radiator, looked set to clear out to a commanding lead...BUT! some c*ck up has seen the days riders get a "group time" and Toby is not sure where he is in the overall now as goncalves can get mobile again not having been DNF'd.....sounds like the ISDE all over again

Seems to be something to do with extreme heat, and some parts of stage have been cancelled?

Because the kids will pay $25 or more for them and get the sh!ts if you pull the stickers off the peak , us oldies only look for free bee caps , my son wears them and thinks they look good I tell him hes not allowed to wear them at any old bike thing we go to as I think the opposite (usually the kids who are embarrassed by us)
