How does one stay focused

G'day viewers I have a bad habit of loosing focus on projects & other things in life lol. Anyways what's the key to it all. I start a project & nearly finish it & before I know it I'm onto the next one with a shed full of unfinished projects. It's time to get my act together, so any giudence would be appreciated.

put a piece of paper on each project with the next five tasks written on it for that project. When i do this it works well...

  I lose Focus between  the last event of years event until 2 week before the Fist event of the year..

 Pick the Bike that you want to Ride and Get it going for that event ....

 enter that bike for that event  ..even if its not going yet ... I bet you it will   ( But have a Back up Bike just in Case )

 So Now Jimson when are you coming to a Vinduro ...

  its been a Long time between Drinks Old Mate ...
  Classic dirt or Heaven VMX  in Canberra  or Goulburn swapmeet Too Long

 No wonder your loosing Focus ..

 The grate thing about Vinduro you got all weekend to work on it and to ride ...

 and it dose not need to be a swan it can be a Duck as long as you Have Fun ...

The best thing about riding a KTM at a vTr VINDURO is you not only get to work on it all weekend with your like minded mates but you also get to ride Yamaha's. Well not actually ride but sit on the back while they bring you back to camp and back out to your bike.

Don't get too excited about the "reliable" bit. They're old bikes, they'll always find ways to mess you up... But the good thing is that if it all turns KTM-shaped, someone will lend you a bike.

Normal to have 3 to 4  bikes on the go with each one progressing as parts
are either made or waiting on snail mail delivery .
l stick with one brand Suzuki  and find most parts are
flow ons ie interchange.

I think the biggest thing with doing bike builds/restoration, is don't pull them apart until you are ready to do the whole project.  You can usually work out some of the things you need before you pull them apart.

I should also take my own advice.

Why the rush? I enjoy working on my bikes but I dont like doing the same job twice so I take my time and think a lot to ensure I get it right and my hip pocket nerve doesnt play up. Got 4 in the process as we speak and as I get time they will go to the bench. Lifes not about the destination.

Well that's a relief, when I saw your name in this thread I thought you were going to be giving advice about staying focused
