Well even the dick head living under a rock knows the 360 is worth upwards of $6000 I have seen them asking $20000 in the USA for real mint ones so equals around  $29000aus I don't think the seller is that naïve and wants to give them away otherwise Richard would of found them the same day ;)
I am still the fastest in the pits

For those who are interested I checked out the GE YZ360 the other day and got frame and engine numbers.  The chassis is a YZ250A and the engine is a YZ360B.
I believe Ray Ryan became the guardian of these bikes and several others shipped to Perth (correct me if I am wrong, its just what I have been told) and  the Yamaha WA state manager bought the 2 yamaha's, motor been sealed and not started since who knows.
I emailed Rick Doughty of Vintage Iron in the US, he tells me this was his own personal race bike in the early nineties and he it sold to GE shortly after as they were great friends.
As I am not buying it (I bought the 74 YZ250A)  :) so I thought I would share the info with you all and hopefully it goes to someone that appreciates it as a race bike.
Below is the email reply from Rick Doughty.

Hi Mick,
That is the YZ360 that was previously mine before selling it to Geoff.
I let Geoff race that bike here in the US and he fell in love with it.
As I recall Geoff Ballard also raced it the same weekend and murdered the field of competitors.
It is a great bike.
You are correct that it is a 250 chassis with a ’75 360 motor. The only difference on the ’75 360 motor was the way the head fins were trimmed. Other than that, it is the same spec as a true ’74 YZ360 (which there was only 535 of worldwide)
Not sure what else I can tell you but I can assure that Geoff and I would both prefer to see it back on the track making people smile.
All the best,
Rick

The bike is at Causeway Kawasaki in Perth WA and has been sitting there in the showroom next door for the last 3 months.

He's open to reasonable offers,
ps; it is the same one as in the photo posted by g465b. If anyone needs any photos I can send them to your email as I don't have photo bucket or I can send them to a photo bucket guru to post.

Cheers

Engine number says it's a 'B' motor, not sure about the pipe. I believe from one of Firko's post afew years ago the motor was built by Bill West  ex factory mechanic in the U.S. Give Norm a ring about the price.

My understanding is that the A & B models share the same crank, cases & barrel so they are the same motor except for the engine number.
Therefore the 'A' pipe will work the same on either motor but the 'A' pipe would have needed to be used to fit the 'A' frame.

Also for more trivia, the 250 and 360 'A' chambers are very similar except the 360 has a slightly longer header

The "360A"  is a nice bike though without a 360A stamped frame and indeed the 360A motor it is not in fact a YZ 360A,rather a replica and as such is not as valuable or sought  after as the original machine.Great replica however :-)
