Tallarook Vinduro - Sunday 8 November
« on: October 09, 2015, 11:24:32 am »
The final VERi event for 2015 is the Tallarook Vinduro on Sunday 8 November.

Just like last year, there will be a loop on private property and a ride using local bush tracks. Bikes using the private property loop only do not need to be registered (however a recreation licence may need to be purchased). All bikes participating on extended bush track ride must be registered (CPS, full rego, rec rego or UVP), and rider must have a valid licence.

The entry form will be available to download soon.

More info will be posted here soon. Keep checking the VERi website and Facebook page for updates too.

Anyone know if Tallarook area has received any rain at all in the last couple of days? There's been a little bit around here...

Entry forms need to be received via post by our Club Secretary by no later than Wednesday 4 November for pre-entry. You can of course enter at the event, but late fee applies.

Don't miss the final VERi vinduro for 2015!

Pre-entry for the Tallarook Vinduro has now closed. You can still enter at the venue this weekend though. We hope to see as many riders as possible at this final VERi vinduro for 2015.

We've had some nagging enquiries regarding directions to the Tallarook event this weekend- sheesh, OK already. Now, while the vinduro experience begins from when you leave home to attend the ride and actually navigating to said event using rat cunning and a compass, there has been some grizzling about the amount of time and fuel consumed by the less directionally talented amongst us. So as bowing to the least talented minority seems to be the way society operates these days here are some directions to the ride site.
Take the turn off RHS onto Ennis Rd (travelling northbound on the M1 - after the Broadford turnoff). Follow Ennis Rd about 10k's to Landscape Rd. Turn left onto Landscape Rd and follow for about 5k's to the intersection with Kingston Rd. Turn left and follow to the property. The corners will be marked with arrows so keep an eye out.
With the rain this week dust won't be an issue and riding conditions ought to be awesome, and entry on the day is fine. See ya there!
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

A great event, and a fitting end to the VERi season! By all accounts the longer ride was a lot tougher than last year. The private property loop was just as tricky as I remembered it.

It was really good to catch up with people I know, and to meet some new recruits to vinduro as well. Top effort from all of the interstate riders who made the journey I must say. The crew from ACT really got their money's worth, they must have logged up more kilometres riding, than driving to and from Canberra!

100% in agreement, Tex. (yes i found fuel)

Was a great loop and certainly ingrained the idea of Tallarock, but added TallaAngledTreeRootOrBranchOrWhateverCrapTheCourseManCouldFindLayingAroundToMakeItHarder.

But I guess it will remain as advertised on the map.

Thanks to everyone involved from the committee to the volunteer on the day. Twas a great event. (except for that bit where the bloke stood in front of the sign with the red-plate or non directions. That threw me a bit)
