You can buy heaps of Monty spokes the problem is you can not buy nipples for them as they are an odd thread. The original nipples are alloy and are now stuffed as you have probably found out. later models have steel nipples that rust after all these years.

The original spokes are stainless on almost all models and can be cleaned up but the nipples are made from unobtainium ::).

Buchanan, Titmans or any of the wheel spokers can make spoke kits but not nipples for the original spokes. You are much better off get a set through them. I have found Buchanan to be cheaper but Titman makes better spokes (just my experience).

Do Buchanan have them in stock or do you need to send spokes to them for a copy

Yes mate perfect even after it (the wheel) fell off ::) don't ask frightening story :o

The GP250 has the older large hubs from '71-81 the front and rear hub are the same spoke design. The '81 VG414 has different front spokes all other MX / enduro models includung the VG250 has the same front spoke set. All rear spoke sets are the same from 1971 except the H7 250/360 and VG250 which are different.

Both Buchanan and Titmans have the designs on file so you should be able to order them direct.

Re the Montessa spoke nipples with the odd thread.
It is reasonably easy to have threading taps made to sample.   Having some made and re threading some existing nipples might be another viable way to go.
Goliath are one mob in Melbourne who will do it- they may even be able to supply a non preferred size from stock.

If you love it, lube it.
