Help : 36mm Mikuni on 82 250XC
« on: June 09, 2015, 11:18:30 am »
Guys,

Helping Daz Milton out.
Any one with some baseline jetting to start out with for a 36mm mikuni on an 82 250XC?

Twisting the throttle and getting off the pilot may help  :P

Why does it have a 36mm carb? 38mm is standard & the following jetting specs are straight from the 1982 Husqvarna racing handbook for 250XC:
Type: Mikuni
Venturi: 38
Main jet: 410
Needle jet: R-4
Idling jet: 45
Needle position: #4
Air jet: 2.0
Throttle (slide): 2.0
Needle: 6DH20
Air screw: 1.5 out from bottom
This jetting is also listed in this book for 1982 CR250 but WR 250 jetting is different.
Cheers,
K

Good point Shoey!
Yes it has a 38mm Bigk. Daz wants it to roll on better in the low to mid. We are going to try a 36mm to see what change we get.

Well that's a whole different kettle of fish, can't help with that one but I'd start with a 400 main, 40 pilot, probably 2.5 slide & whatever needle & needle jet you have & go from there. I think it will be trial & error for you on that one.
