The Baja 1000 is an iconic desert race that many here will have heard of, and hopefully will serve as some inspiration for riders entering the Hopetoun GP Vinduro!  I came across some info about bikes that have won the Baja 1000 that some might find interesting. Bugger was looking forward to this one got my nephews 21st in cold old Canberra (its even byo i think) so i cant even drive up in the morning I'll have to wait until next year you guys have a good ride and take plenty of pics.

VERi has permission to allow rec reg'd bikes to enter the Hopetoun Desert ride so if you want to join the fun get an entry in! There's still time to get your eligible bike rec registered (which will be handy for other future events -such as Harrow in July- and also for general riding) and enjoy a unique ride.

 Yes tex 7 more ltrs in rear tank ..

No water in a desert so no river to be saved from so  I would go all right ..

That's a young GMC, Sea Lake 1980
Still have my trophy from that event too

Hopetoun is only a stones throw from Sea Lake (if the stone is thrown from a rocket launcher)

PS VERi wil accept entries on the day if you have a rego'd bike
