I need a counter balancer chain guide to suit 1981 Hond XL500S, part number 13430-429-000. If anyone can help please let me know.

Thanks Brad, I hope you have. It's a clients bike, never been off the road, done 21,000klms and is like NEW! I would really like to find the part for him to keep the old girl going.

The one i have is for an 82 model. It looks the same to me.

The bike you descride BigK is the same as an '81 XL500S I saw just today at Brendale (local bris) I had to do a double take and was blown out by it's appearance, speedo read under 20000 and unmarked, it didn't look restored either, still had the original claw pattern tyres :o

According to the Honda shop they are different somehow, but I'm happy to take a stab. Send a PM or email a to organise it. They must be still out there Doc if you've seen one in similar condition.
