Do see a few yellow bikes on ebay eno. mainly 175 Traily's. Did they go okay or were they a roadie with knobbies?

Hey Pokey, Ah monday & back on the CZ job, unsure but I think thats the same tank as what the 175 had. Those models had very similar bottom end to the old round case models but porting was a great improvement. The frame also was alot better, one would just about but not quite give a bog stock TS185 a run for it's money.

The MX models pictured above came out as 380cc, 250cc, & 125cc and are very different animals to the 175.

Actually, the frames are different. Sidepipers had the single/narrow downtube that runs under the motor where as the YTer is the same as the '73 Blackframe machines. The only yellow bikes that had the sidepiper frames were a few of the 1970 bikes built over in the US by American Jawa to move inventory overstock. These bikes were piece milled together out of loose parts on the shelf. Some were also a few factory rider bikes in the Inter-Am such as Halm, Tomar, Bickers and DeCoster.

Back in '86 (seemed like only a couple of years ago) I bought a XT500 from a and he guy showed me his brand spanking new 250 CZ just like the one in the picture.  Paid $600 or around that for it in the crate from the Brisbane distributer.
