VERi members weekend at Ballan, 7-8 March 2015

Club Secretary Drakie did a great job setting out a natural terrain loop for VERi members to enjoy on Saturday. Quite a few members made the trip down, including a committee member from Sydney who brought a couple of Husqvarnas. The Tolmie crew made the journey over as well. Plenty of other members from Melbourne, Bendigo, Tallarook etc too. I dragged my PE175 out of retirement and had a great day. Perfect weather, interesting collection of bikes, laid back atmosphere... You all know the rest...








There were a few spills, including this one courtesy of "Dangerous Dave". 





In a cruel twist of fate the only person injured was none other than Drakie himself!

I had other commitments and so couldn't stick around for the longer Sunday ride. I'm sure it'll be a good one.

Hope Drakies OK , more importantly hope he didn't  scratch the Jawa ! Pity  I couldn't stay for longer , I was heading off as every one was arriving , had to get the daughter  back for work  . Big thanks to Drakie for the use of his farm and to him and Rob for all the effort in laying out the track . The kids had a ball and  I finally got  a ride , after  Murphy's Creek being washed out . Hope everyone has a good day today

Great weekend, the drakiefier has an amazing place. Wish I lived there. Sundays ride was a good mix and very enjoyable relaxed trail in great property, bushe.
We should do more of this kind of event great work by all.

Thanks for the pics Geoff, I hear there was a pretty good turn out for the Sunday ride. The video is cool but who or what is the creepy dark figure lurking in the background (0.26 - 0.32)? Did you capture a Yowie on video?

This was a VERi members event, so if you're not a member you would've missed the memo! This weekend has been such a success we are hoping to have another member's ride this year, in addition to our other events.

A little to alot of bragging was had this afternoon , and it was in the spirit of a good brag.

I get to ride with with the Odd1 this week-end, which i look forward too and i'm very very very sure he will make up for what he missed on the week-end passed.

Then we have the PBBB at which he can make up the rest of the laps he needs to make for the year to date.

Drakie wore himself out doing so many laps so he decided to have a lay down for a bit



He was soon up though and together with a couple of good old mates they cheerily decided to head of for some festivities at the end of the day
