Mike Alessi crash at Red Bud
« on: July 13, 2008, 12:51:11 pm »
This is Mike Alessis awful crash at Red Bud last weekend. He's pretty lucky he only has two broken scapulas, one or two broken ribs and a bruised lung. It's a pretty impressive to see #75 Ricky Renner to go back and check on Alessi. Apparently Bubba Stewart didn't impress too many fans when he had a dummy spit after they red flagged the race while he was leading. The fact that Alessi was laying on the track, possibly dead or in a serious condition at the time didn't seem to matter to him.

I watched an interview with him on Racerx website and he looked good and said he will be back in a few weeks! Unbelievable considering how bad it looked.
He broke both shoulder blades and i think 6 ribs in that crash.. OW!  I broke one shoulder blade 2 months ago and i am still struggling.
Maico's, the only way to go.

i guess they've got their proceedures they like to follow but did it seem like they took a long time to see to him or is it just my imagination?
i like the guy and although he can't quite yet run with stewart, he's been the top of the rest so far.

Mick could it be that with the laws over in the states that no one is allowed to help/move him unless they are certified first aid people? It did look like they went for the bike first and it did seem that a couple of people didnt know what to do or were confused!!

I thought the same thing when i saw the crash, i was wanting to jump in and help.. it seemed like they took along time to get to him, and i think the bike could of waited instead of just lookin at him lying there.. I really like the guy, i had a good chat with him at Glen Helen and he is one honest, dedicated racer.. I think he and Ricky Carmicheal were the nicest guys i spoke to.  The crowd hated Alessi for some reason, they were booing him when he came past every lap. That shit me to peices  >:(    He is going to be the bridesmaid for along time if Bubba keeps injury free and Chad makes a return to the nationals. The word on the street is Cody Cooper is riding Alessi's bike at some stage and Chad reed will do the last few races on a Decoster preped Suzuki !!!  ;D
