How will this effect Vinduro in NSW
« on: December 15, 2014, 07:00:45 pm »
Just reading the newsletter from MNSW that I received in the mail today and noticed a paragraph about permits.

It says,

"Recently, we have had to alter the requirements for non-competition events. Previously these types of permits were not required to be conducted upon licenced venues, however this has since changed and all* non-competition riding permits will only be issued upon licenced tracks unless approved by Motorcycling NSW prior. *coaching permits excluded

Judging by the last line there may be room for negotiation but it looks like event organisers in NSW will need to put in some extra work next year.

Cheers
Shaun

Apart from how poorly it's written, it seems that it was written with MX type tracks in mind.

Wonder how it is intended to work for organised trail-rides?

More to do with MX clubs letting Little John have a Ride or a bit of a practise   I think..

You would not want to be the Land owner or the Club if some think happen ...

 Hi Shaun

This will Not affect vTr as will only use Licences Venues /Land .
all of vTr Vinduro are /will  ran on approved licences tracks  by Motorcycling NSW.
    on a  non-competition riding permit.

That's great to hear. Now I just need to source an appropriate mount to come and have a ride with you guy's.

My one attempt at Vinduro was not a great success. The YZ490 setup for Dirt Track was, in hindsight, probably not the ideal choice of ride  ;D

Cheers

Wow, are they so slow that they only travel 20km in a whole day?

I've raced it at Canowindra for the last two years on the same tank of fuel  ;D

The speed of the TT is perfectly matched to my ability in the bush Nathan.
