XR80 Head Repair
« on: December 08, 2014, 08:18:10 pm »
Hi,
Have a cylinder head off an XR80 that has worn out the camshaft seats in the head. Is there any one that can repair these? any leads appreciated.

Cheers Mark

You were always a bit lighter than me Mark but I reckon you might be stretching  it, racing an xr80!

Ross,
80cc is about all I can handle these days. Actually come to think about it is probably all I've ever been able to handle  :-\

Have the Honda Dax in the shed but I reckon I might need nitro to get it to lug me around. Stay well hope to catch up again sometime.

They can be repaired Mark, but it is an expensive exercise. You'd be better off finding another head that isn't damaged.
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.
