Just thought we should confirm the direction that Heaven Club members have chosen for our club.

The members voted overwhelmingly (>81%) in favour of altering our constitution to adopt all classes listed as Classic Dirt by the National Body. Presently that is Pre90

Members also voted overwhelmingly (98% in favour) to ensure that the origins of our sport are not lost or forgotten so Pre65 , Pre70 etc will still have a strong future.

More recently as you may have read in another thread that two long standing members of Heaven VMX, Dennis Myers and Greg Holmes who have served our club in many roles including on our executive have decided to set off on a different direction with a new Vinduro club/group.

Dennis and Greg have been the back bone of the Heaven VMX move into Vinduros over recent times. Anyone that has attended one of those events will appreciate the passion that Dennis and Greg have for the Vinduro side of our sport. They have worked tirelessly to run 5 successful Vinduros this year which built on the previous two years efforts.

Our club is very sorry to see Dennis and Greg take this direction although we have utmost respect for both of them. The reasons are many and varied with some of their objectives not aligning with Heaven VMX objectives.

We would like to state clearly and unreservedly that there is no ill feeling between anyone with regard to this new direction or the decisions taken. Greg and Dennis have indicated they will remain Heaven VMX members.

The Heaven VMX club wishes them well in the new challenge they have taken on. Hopefully it will be both successful and satisfying.

Heaven VMX will cooperate with the new club or group where possible as more options for Classic Dirt Bike riders can only be a good thing. It appears the focus of the new club will complement the existing clubs in NSW.

Heaven will also endeavor to continue offering Vinduros into the future.

A very mature summation and good to hear.
Us old dirt bikers certainly have a lot to be grateful for these days.
