Hannah deals/dealt in vintage fighters, commonly known as Warbirds.
I think he may have raced them as well

The visors with the mirrors were known as "Visor-vu" I think

Looks like there are a few OAS fans out there,Re Bob Hannah ,yes he raced off road cars and planes ,mainly in P51 "Voodoo",checkout "Reno-People Who Race Planes-Bob Hannah".If you are near the Sunny Coast and want to experience P51 Merlin power, you can have a ride in 70 year old "Snifter"not cheap at $80-$100 a minute but well worth it.

I have just had a cast put on my leg I broke a week ago(dumb farm accident)so I have plenty of time to waste, does the '79 RM50,my '76 Bell Motostar and Yoko gear count as vintage.

I am going to Noosa(7hrs) to checkout OAS next chapter on Sunday,I thought I might have to book, the girl at the cinema said only a few people had been at the screenings,it looks like the same old "we forgot to tell anyone"syndrome again.

I know it's a VMX forum, but the lives of riders from the Golden Era,during and after their racing careers,I find very interesting.I think Bob Hannah must have just been the ultimate speed freak, surviving intact as one of the most successful MX riders, and then take up the "Fastest Motorsport on Earth"of Pylon Racing in highly modified WW2 Fighters (19 pilots have died in the Reno Air Races)

On the Aus scene I can remember a CCM rider at Tivoli, either at the Aus MX Titles in1976,or 78/79, I am wondering whether that was Lester Rowley(I had an idea is was a WA rider) anyway whoever it was knew how to throw a massive roost, and proved that Pommie 4 strokes could hold their own against the Japanese 2strokes.

Quiz.what did Gally have written on his tank in 1976?
