Trials Bike Photos - Bultaco
« on: July 08, 2008, 10:21:19 pm »
Hi all,

I thought I'd add a couple of photos of some of my trials bikes. I haven't actually ridden a trial, but I love the look of them.
Maybe I should have a go at one of the twinshock trials up at Denman.

Has anyone done one of these?

This my Sherpa T 250 - M80 1971

This is my next project - a 1979 Sherpa T 350 M199A (needs a little work)

Hey Marky, is that the Sherpa T you offered to loan me for the Bultaco Rally? If so, you've got a deal! Beautiful bike.
As beautiful as it is and as cool as your trials stable is becoming, you haven't got either of these babies in the collection!

Brownies Husky and my Maico trials special.

Yep Firko, thats the one!

Its great fun to ride - its even got a Mikuni on it, so it runs perfectly!
My new Montesa Cota 247T may even be allowed down at the Bultaco Rally.

You're welcome to use it there if you like...

Cheers,
Mark.

Ah so it's you with the 199A. Google "Bultaco Sherpa" images and it's one of the first to come up.

I see it suffers from the classic bent steering head syndrome.

Yes you should definitely go to the Denman MCC trials.
Believe it or not, two mad twinshock trials nuts (I'm one of them) drove down from Central Queensland and rode in the Denman 2 day in June 2007. The DMCC runs about 10 Twinshock and Classic only trials in the Hunter and the one in June is a 2 day, the others being one day trials. I also watched at a one-day trial there the year before (because my wife wanted a holiday down there but she wouldn't let me bring a bike)
The Denman trials have classes for all levels of riding and the events are very well organised and have observers on each section. DMCC events come highly recommended. I just wish I lived closer.
