Stator or stator coils for 1978 yz250
« on: September 18, 2014, 08:43:09 am »
Hi all,

I believe my stator has called it a day and would like to get the bike back running ASAP  so if anyone has something they'd part with then please let me know.

It looks to have had replacement coils fitted but a couple of US companies that list them now say they are no longer available so alternatively if you guys know of any stores with a suitable replacement then I'm all ears.

Thanks - Rob

Cheers Tony but I'm after the coils that mount onto your stator not an ignition coil. I'll check the site as the may have what I'm after

Pretty sure what I put up was the ignition coils for on the stator plate rather than the coil under the tank

Hey Tony my apologies again, your link and my phone didn't get along for some reason (user error?) but when I used an actual computer you were bang on! Thanks for your help, I'm waiting for them to confirm the parts are in stock.

Tt5 Matt  that was my first choice but I'm still hopeful to be ready to race the weekend after this and I couldn't get it done in time. I've also got my mate's 78 in the shed next to mine to part swap on to trouble shoot and everything else  seemed to work fine... But I agree, if I wasn't being impatient I'd send the whole system off to be sure

I have a rather large selection of Yamaha stators/rotors/cdis You can have the whole bag for $20 plus postage.
