Matadoor MK3 primary case removal
« on: September 06, 2014, 12:20:25 pm »
G'day everyone , hope someone can help . I am trying to remove the primary chain case on my MK3 matadoor . I cant seem to get it past the gear shaft ;The first part comes easy but at about 5/16" from the end of the shaft it gets stuck. I have hit it with a rubber mallet , used a heat gun but it will not come any further . Is there a trick to this ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.p
what ! Who me ? Nah

Hi Paco,
It should normally just slide off the gear stick shaft unless the shaft is bent.If it is bent you may be able to put the gearstick back on and while holding the gearstick up as far as it will go,you might be able to jiggle(technical term)the shaft with the selector and the sidecase off as one.
