The rim size debate, for my 2 cents worth, after riding a few bikes in the US fitted with different size rims. Wide rims change the profile of the tyre and the way it handles a lot. You have to keep in mind that the big tyre on big rims are meant for big, heavy bikes ridden by really fast, aggressive riders. My 500/600 over there has 3.5 rims front and rear, there are 2x2.15 rims waiting in Texas for me to lace up when we get there in Feb. Hopefully it will sharpen up the steering an take some of the push out of it.
