While on the TBC subject, the Classic (Evo) class could also attract internationals ie USA. I have broached the subject with Paul Covert, racer, promoter and friend from Little Rock, it could happen if we (as a group?) could raise the airfare ($1800). I have meet Dave Aldana (on any Sunday fame) several times, other names ie. Jim Monegan, Ron Long, Davey Durell, etc could be lured (one hopes) to attend. I will certainly supply the bike. I will be there in a month and will see them again, the blokes I mentioned are currently racing and will flog us senseless.
I for one was surprized how many people came up to me over the weekend for a talk about the good ol'days. The scene in the states is the same/similar as here, die-hard fanatics.
Food for thought, we could make the old bike racing get carried along with Troy's brilliant meeting.

dave aldana.davey durell very good
there is someone from little rock would beat everyone for sure, nick name little JOHN from little rock JK initals,he dose win eveything he enters
these are the only names i know all the rest i know make up the feild

Do you really think you can justify bringing international riders over for 3 races.  Maybe Troy Bayliss might like the idea of boosting the Legends class with some internationals.  Really if you are to bring in international riders you need another meeting for them to race at too.  Maybe a Long Track somewhere.

Thanks to the Riders that rode at TBC2015,it was a great event, and can only get better. You blokes are on the right track, thinking of inviting Dave Aldana and a couple more riders over,is a good idea. The event has an international flavour, which gets world coverage. The first article, for this year,is already in Cycle News. This type of coverage can only be achieved with an international lineup.
It would only take another 60 spectators to cover  1 rider's airfare, and I am sure that there would be plenty of people willing to assist with accommodation etc,I reckon the event would have added $600,000+to the local economy, not including entry, food, etc at the event.
There are plenty of people who would jump at the chance to meet Dave Aldana, many of us started riding around the OAS years, and a well planned programme starting on Friday, maybe a barbecue at the beach at Old Bar with all your bikes there, would be fantastic! And anyone that can grab an ear at TMCC,please get them to get a proper Public Address system,we struggled with a crap system, and bit the bullit and put in a system that covers the whole sports ground, worth every cent.
Keep the "Big" number plates(they should be on all the bikes) old age,and industrial accidents is affecting my sight, and they just look the part.

Great idea about more events,I am only 3 hrs from Gunnedah, and could make a road trip via the Dah on the way to Taree, even if it was only a practice, demo day on Thursday. The boys had a ride there this year, before the TBC.

I don't think we need to bring any imports into the Evo class, it's a chance for the locals that that race here year round to showcase their talents and bikes on the big stage. There's already a que of locals wanting to get into the race next year and only 12 grid spots..
If you want to bring Dave Aldana or Jay Springsteen over put them in the Legends race.

I better go back to my backyard and lie low for awhile, the racing was great at the Bayliss and the old bike racing was fun. I love racing and just haven't had much opportunity this (2014) to do much, apart from Nepean and a couple of club days. Lets hope the Nationals will happen (Temora looks like the only candidate) and Nepean Charity event is always fun. Cheers.

I agree with JohnnyO............The TBC Evo is just an exhibition of bikes from a previous era.........with 12 only spots, lets leave it Aussie.............to help promote the OZ Classic titles, maybe the first 6 placegetters in the Oz Evo final should be seeded through to following year's TBC.......... ;D

That might be a bit hard Dave as TBC is over 40's

Has the EVO class been run at the Classic DT Championships lately.  It wasn't on the sup-regs for Canberra and I don't think anyone has run a Post Classic DT championship yet.
