PE and IT flywheel puller
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:41:42 PM »
Just a quick question, are PE and IT flywheel pullers the same? I sold a PE motor to a guy who said he wanted a good flywheel. I pulled the cover off and the flywheel looked like new, no rust not a mark on it, turned freely, I couldn't find my puller so just sold it to him. Anyway he calls me and said the flywheel is stuffed, sends me a picture of all these broken bits of magnet and rust. I said did you remove it with a hammer and he said he used the same puller as an IT Yamaha and I would just like to test his story.

Most of the Pe flywheels I have pulled off have damaged magnets due to previous owns giving them a  whack not knowing they have just cracked the magnets.
