Doc ....I forgot to ask the name of that place you got your springs made.
Firko ... do we have to spring load  the pegs on our dungers   ( My Ts 100 are pretty much locked in place )

I was assistant machine examiner at the nationals and when we tried to get one chap to fit return springs to his bike,he informed us that they only had to be self returning, not spring loaded.
His pegs only folded up to less than 45 degrees and would return by gravity.

He was more than adamant about it so it was let through.
upon checking the rule book ,it appears he was correct ???

I wound up trying Suzukals' KX spring mod to the RM 100, spot on! just a tweak or two and i'm sure they are better than they ever were. The Kwaka springs are beefy suckers, so they lend themselves well to bit of cold forming.

yeah I agree rocketfrog, the conversion to spring loaded is easy enough to do but my main question here is 'is  it compulsory to have springs fitted'
I and others have were informed last year and this year, by the powers that be on the days, that the pegs must be spring loaded in 08 or you won't be allowed to race until they are changed. This change only really effects the pre'75 and pre '70's etc which did not come standard with such luxuries as 'springloaded' folding footrests.

Thats interesting news Doc for the 08 regs.
The 185 has okay pegs for an old traily with three point mounts  but relies on gravity rather than springs to return them  .
I will fit springs to it as nothing worse than putting your foot on something that isnt there and getting it run over by yourself
