RM 100 Stator Coils
« on: July 02, 2008, 01:30:21 am »
Dunno if this was asked before (maybe on old site?...) but I'm after the resistance values for the two stator coils. I think it's 170 & 190 but I lent my manual out ::). I'm in the process of rewinding -going Ok but just wanna double check before I cut wire. How critical is the resistance value by the way? Bike was sparking but pretty damn weak and wouldn't start. The  bike is a RM 100 X last of the line, but identical to the 1980 T I reckon. :) Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this link works Loydee but I posted service bulletins on the Yahoo RM/TM group site in the files section. If this link doesn't work then have a look at the Yahoo group reply to your question  ;)

Yeah had a look in the Files section thanks Doc. Just come back from doing twisty hillclimb (off-road) on TS185 - the wettest we've had,on trials tyres, and was only a little slower than on TM125 with knobblies. Makes me think, how would an RM100 fare??? ::) Ah well will be fun finding out... !
