1969 TS250
« on: June 29, 2014, 01:28:21 pm »
Expressions of interest wanted. Anybody chasing bits and pieces from a pre 70 TS250 Suzuki.  Prefer to sell as one but happy to split into big chunks.  Mostly there, also have a spare motor with a stuffed crank ( end broken off the shaft), cases and gearbox should be fine.  Frame is in good condition, tank is pretty solid but needs a fair bit of work.  Forks reasonable, nice alloy Mudcatcher rim on the front.

In WA, will send pics if interested.

Simon, I have a 69 TS250 that I dirt track.  Its got a TM250 top end.  Not sure if I really need anything in particular but well you never know.  Bottom end seems all good, frame too.  Just repaired and repainted tank so that's good.  Seat - what the seat like?  Mine's pretty crapped out.  Shocks - mine are stockers - work ok, but wouldn't mind a longer pair.  What's your's got?

My seat - missing .  Shocks, fitted with a lonely single 350 mm Koni to allow it to be wheeled around. Unfortunately I don't have the other one.  My spare shocks are either too long (400 mm) or too short (320 mm) so it doesn't look like I have anything you need!

Do the TM barrels fit straight on, I have one of them spare.

Don't know if they fit straight on, came with the bike, presume so.  (think the only diff is the oil feed line goes into the inlet on opposite sides TS to TM).  Just out of interest, how much for the barrel?

Will have a think about the TM barrel.  I have a couple of TM 125 rear wheels and one of the slightly later rm125/Ts non Cush drive rear hubs if you needed anything in that department.

I put my TM barrel onto the TS bottom end and it slotted on straight away.

Craig, that's the easy part ;)  making it work properly to reap the benefits seems to have a few scratching their heads.
