1982 KX250 B2
« on: June 22, 2014, 04:30:03 PM »
Hi, does anyone have one have a crank of one of these laying around? I need to confirm the key way on the crank is exactly 180 degrees from TDC? I'm fitting a after market ignition to one and need to know where the timing lies - any help, most appreciated.

I have been thinking about adapting a modern ignition to my 125
Once I have it running solid id like to adapt a KX100 ignion to my 83 KX. I would think its possible as the taper of the rotor is the same
I dont have an answer for you however since your 82 is such a rare bike Im thinking you could check years close to your bike to see where the key is. Id love to find a 82 250. Ive not seen one since 1982

I think the 83 was the same set up, I'll see a 82 owner in the next couple of weeks and confirm for the detail for you.
Retiring ... all bikes and parts must go.....  1984 KX250's (2 off) and Resto Project 1983 KX125's (3 off)

PM for details
