Look in VMX Magazine or the other Australian magazines .Ebay etc or try asking your local motorcycle shop, bet they have something to try to sell you.  Suzuki stills lists the shocks available new.....  Get a quote from a Suzi dealer then hold on to you hat!!!! :o
Unfortunately Sudman there is virtually no cheap and easy fixes on the way to sourcing parts , and what secret avenues there are people will most likely keep to themselves for good reasons ,like if you broadcast your pot of gold it will be gone forever for sure.  Is good you have asked here as that is a type of personal legwork and research we all have to do.  PS put a request in the above wanted section , don't be afraid to list an honest ball park price you would be willing to pay or maybe offer some part or bikes to trade. :)

Progressive suspension
Works Performance
Falcon
Ohlins
Reiger
WP
FOX
Bitubo
hagon
wilbers

the list go on. plenty of options. it just comes down to personal taste and the brand you like.

Oldfart were they RM or PE shocks you had rebuilt?

i need a good set of original 250/400 PE 80-82 shocks that are not leaking and have good shafts other wise i need to get a set to rebuild but i dont know how you rebuilt them as they are welded up each end and i dont know how the factory ever got the gas into the PE shocks? if i can get them rebuilt i would want them to look the same as original.

if i can get a good set of original PE shocks i will swap a set of RM remote reservor shocks for a stock PE set.

I just double checked my specs for interest sake . The fitment list says the shocks will fit all those models above.
The shortest in my listing is 375 mm  and the longest is 450 mm .  ::) ::)

I am not sure if White Wholesale have them in stock yet. If they havent, you can buy them from YSS Australia ex GST . We can send them to you with a " good Invoice " for NZ customs .
